Abstract sculptures
Abstract sculptures
Abstract sculpture from Kris Szczypiński's studio – geometry, movement and emotion held in steel and resin. Originals and short runs.
Abstract sculptures
An abstract sculpture does not need to depict anything in order to speak. Forms in this collection work through the rhythm of lines, the tension of volumes and the play of light on the surface – from the soft interweavings of the Harmony series to the raw, geometric arrangements of “…and Dot”.
Form, material, light
We make abstract sculptures in stainless steel, Corten and resin. The same design can read completely differently in polished metal and in matt graphite – which is why we offer most forms in several finish variants. All are handmade in our studio near Częstochowa, as originals or short series.
How material changes the reading of form
In an abstract sculpture, material is not merely a finish – it co-creates the form. Polished stainless steel reflects its surroundings, so the sculpture’s line blends with what happens around it and changes with daylight. Coloured resin holds the contour sharp and constant, so the rhythm of volumes is clear from every distance. Corten works slowest of all – its rust-red patina deepens from season to season, so a sculpture in the garden changes over time before you add anything beside it.
Abstraction for the interior and the garden
Smaller forms work on a pedestal in the living room or study; larger ones – in a hall, garden or corporate space. Abstract sculpture scale in our gallery ranges from about 50 to 190 cm, so for almost every place there is a form that will not dominate the interior, yet will not disappear without a trace. If you have a form in mind that you do not see here, we will create a commissioned sculpture to your concept.
How to commission your own abstract form
An abstract sculpture lends itself well to commission work, because it does not need to reproduce any specific shape – it is enough to describe the emotion, movement or character it should carry. The process begins with a conversation about the place and scale; then Kris Szczypiński prepares a concept for the form and material, and the sculpture is handmade in the studio near Częstochowa as a single piece, matched to your space.
