Description
The cat’s back, head and tail are built from cut planes that trade a soft outline for a hard edge. The figure keeps the animal’s proportions, yet the form remains fully geometric – the character of the animal translated into a solid.
The cast is made from resin in three variants: silver-blue, silver-orange and gold-black. On large planes, the resin’s colour plays more intensely than on smaller forms, and the sculpture itself weighs noticeably less than a stone equivalent.
At 140 cm tall on a 40 x 40 cm base, the sculpture takes up space in a hallway, study or living room as a self-contained, freestanding form – visible from several sides of the room. It leaves our studio near Częstochowa, Poland, as an original or a short series, signed by Kris Szczypiński.
