Description
The horse’s taut silhouette is built from flat segments joined at an angle – the neck and body take on a hard, geometric edge instead of a gentle curve. The animal’s movement is visible in the rhythm of the volumes alone.
The form is cast in resin in three finishes: silver-red, silver-purple and gold-black. At this scale, the large flat planes show off the resin’s colour at its strongest, and the shade shifts with the light.
A 53 x 53 cm base and 135 cm height let you place the sculpture in a hallway, study or living room as a self-contained, freestanding form, visible from several sides yet still suited to a domestic interior. We make it in our studio near Częstochowa, Poland, as an original or a short series, by Kris Szczypiński.
