Description
The horse’s upright silhouette is built from flat, angular segments – neck, body and legs meet at an angle, without the curves typical of a realistic cast. The animal’s dynamism comes from the arrangement of volumes, not from detail.
The form is made from resin in three variants: silver-red, silver-purple and gold-black. Resin gives a rich, even colour across large planes and keeps a lower weight than a metal cast of this size.
At 182 cm tall on a 71 x 71 cm base, the sculpture holds an entrance area or a representative space – a scale at which the form becomes a reference point for the whole interior. We make it in our studio near Częstochowa, Poland, as an original or a short series, signed by Kris Szczypiński.
