Description
Origami 180 builds its silhouette from sharp, faceted planes, as if the metal had been folded like a sheet of paper. The column, with a 37 x 37 cm base and a height of 180 cm, shifts the angle of shadow on every edge, so it looks different seen from the side and from the front.
The load-bearing material is corten, its rust colour and patina deepening with every season outdoors, complemented by brushed and polished stainless steel, which reflects sharp flashes of light on its flat facets.
At this height, the form suits a garden, entrance area or representative space, where the geometry of the faceted planes is visible from a distance. It is made in the studio near Częstochowa, Poland, as an original or short series, signed by Kris Szczypiński.
