Description
In the 145 cm version, the Time-worn I column narrows its base to 30 x 30 cm, accentuating the slenderness of the form even further. Alternating bands of rusting corten and polished steel create a rhythm visible from several metres away, like growth rings on a cross-section of wood.
The texture comes from corten, its rust colour and patina deepening with every season outdoors, and brushed and polished stainless steel, which catches light on the upper segments of the column.
This scale works well in a hallway, study or living room as a freestanding form, placed against a wall or as the central point of the room. It is made in the studio near Częstochowa, Poland, as an original or short series, signed by Kris Szczypiński.
