Description
The Time-worn I line reverses the proportions of variant II: a 37 x 37 cm base carries a slender, column-shaped form standing 180 cm tall. The vertical line dominates over mass, and horizontal bands of texture run like growth rings along the full height of the form.
The body is made from corten, its rust colour and patina deepening over time outdoors, combined with brushed and polished stainless steel, which brings reflections of light to the upper sections of the column.
At this height, the sculpture naturally suits a garden, entrance area or representative space, where it draws the eye upward. It is made in the studio near Częstochowa, Poland, as an original or short series signed by Kris Szczypiński.
