Description
Time-worn II 149 keeps the form’s proportions from a wide base upward, here in a size of 88 x 88 x 149 cm. The form rests on the contrast between two textures arranged in horizontal bands, giving the impression of layers uncovered by the passage of time, rather than a uniform surface.
It is built from corten, its rust colour and patina deepening over time outdoors, and brushed and polished stainless steel, which reflects ambient light and brings movement to the surface of the form.
At this height, the sculpture works well in a hallway, study or living room as a freestanding form, creating a focal point in the interior. It is made in the studio near Częstochowa, Poland, as an original or short series signed by Kris Szczypiński.
