Description
The Time-worn II form rises from a wide 104 x 104 cm base to a height of 175 cm, building a piece with a clear sense of mass and a calm rhythm of layers. The surface combines the rough texture of rusting metal with smooth bands of polished steel, as if time were peeling away successive layers of the form.
The body is made from corten, its rust colour and noble patina deepening with every season spent outdoors, and stainless steel, which introduces a play of light and reflections across its alternating brushed and polished surface.
The scale of the sculpture suits an entrance area, garden or representative space, where it works as a landmark visible from a distance. It is made in our studio near Częstochowa, Poland, as an original or in a short series, signed by Kris Szczypiński.
